In the last part of our three part article on things to look out for when you buy a TV bracket, we thought we would finish by describing some of the available TV bracket types.
The different types of TV brackets:
Flat to the wall TV brackets
These are one of the most common types of TV brackets. They do exactly what the name suggests; they mount the TV flat to the wall. Unfortunately with this type of TV bracket you get little or no adjustability.
Swivel TV wall brackets
These TV wall brackets let you rotate the TV screen from the left to the right so you can watch a wall mounted television from different parts of the room.
Tilt TV brackets
These TV brackets give the option of tilting the screen by about 15° downwards. This is great if you want to mount the screen at a height or if you want to reduce glare on the screen.
Cantilever TV brackets
These TV brackets offer the best flexibility as you can usually rotate the TV and tilt it. And the extendable arm attachment that they use means the TV can be pulled away from the wall and pushed back into the wall as necessary. They are perfect if you want to mount your television in the corner of the room.
