Installing a TV wall bracket is not a difficult task. You will need few basic tools before you begin. If you are not acquainted with tools or fear that you will not do the job properly, it is recommended that you call a professional to do the job for you.
Step 1 – Location: It is important to choose the right location. You have to keep the following things in mind to choose the right location.
- The wall: Ensure that the wall you choose does not have concealed wiring or pipes.
- Glare: The glare from a light source or a window has to be accounted for. If you have a room that has too much light coming in the image on the TV can look washed out when watching. Choose a room that has the right amount of light.
Step 2: Position the bracket on the wall and make pencil markings. Take a second and a third opinion on the right position of the bracket.
Step 3: Fix the bracket to the wall. Doing this will require a drill, screws, wallplugs and a screw driver. You can use a spirit level to ensure that the bracket is straight.
Step 4: Fit the LCD TV to the bracket. You can do this by referring to the manual of the TV wall bracket that you have purchased. You then need to ensure that the TV is securely fitted in place.
