LCD TVs and plasma TVs have become very popular in recent times. New technological advances are being made in this industry every single day. Panasonic has recently come out with its leviathan TX-P65V10. This is the latest technological wizardry that Panasonic has come out with. It is packed with all the high end technology of other LCD and plasma TVs.
Panasonic has categorised this TV as a high-end V10 plasma flat screen TV for 2009 as ‘NeoPDP TVs’. The technology of this plasma TV seeks to improve the efficiency of the three different components of screen performance. This includes gas discharge and cell design, materials and process, and electronic circuit technologies. These three components help increase the clarity and the quality provided by the plasma TV. The electronic circuit technologies element of the NeoPDP introduces the 600Hz Sub-field drive system. This increases the rate at which plasma pixels are refreshed. This is designed to improve the motion tracking system.
It is worth noting that the figure is not directly comparable to an LCD refresh rate. A video image is actually a series of still images shown at a very fast rate, tricking the eye to believe it is a continuous moving image. Panasonic provides 600Hz that takes it one step further.
