Market for LCD TV brackets braces itself for LG’s 15 inch OLED TV
The recent launch of the Sony OLED television was met with much resentment by LCD TV enthusiasts and Sony loyalists alike. One of the reasons was that they were paying an astronomical price of £3000 for a screen of just 11 inches.
The market is now abuzz with news about a 15 inch OLED wonder that will be in distribution in the UK some time in 2010. The vice president for LG, Won Kim, stated in an interview that the OLED television was slated for distribution in Korean markets in December this year. This means that the OLED 15 inch wonder is going to be in the UK early next year.
Mr Kim also spoke about an increase in the production of their OLED TV units. Speculation is rife that this will coincide with a slight thawing of the recession and demand for OLED televisions will rise.
