Fixing your TV bracket to your flat screen TV

We often talk about how you can fix your TV bracket to the wall but we rarely mention how to fit your TV to the TV bracket.

Different brackets have different fixings but they are all essentially the same. Your flat screen TV will have little holes on the back. These are called the VESA mounting holes. When you get a new TV bracket, before you mount it on the wall you should offer it up to the TV and see which holes you are going to use. With the bracket you might get a selection of screws to use, so you should select these beforehand too so you can be ready when you are going to fix the TV to the bracket.

It is important to remember that the bracket should be fixed to the wall before the TV is fixed to the bracket, but if you check the hole positions first and get someone to help you when fixing the TV to the mounted wall bracket, it can be really easy to fix your TV to your TV bracket.
