The process of choosing a modern flat screen TV comes with a host of problems. Decisions need to be made about all sorts of details and only a few questions will have obvious answers.
You will want a flat screen TV and you will most likely want to mount it on the wall with TV brackets, but beyond that, what? Do you want a 3D TV, for example? If you’ve never even experienced 3D, this will be an even more difficult decision to make, so perhaps that’s where you should start, by getting a demonstration of 3D technology. There are only about 30 3D Blu-rays at the moment, but like HD this is likely to be technology that is more and more important in the future and as you should have your TV for quite some time, it’s worth thinking ahead.
Set against that is the fact that there are different approaches to 3D. The 3D TVs of today demand that you wear 3D glasses, but this is unlikely to be the case in the future as technology is already moving on. 3D TVs that don’t require glasses have been shown at exhibitions and these will supersede the TVs of today. Put simply, it might be worth waiting when it comes to 3D.
