It is hard to know what TV you should be buying these days. A few years ago, it was simply a matter of choosing the biggest one that you could afford or that would fit in the space available. Now, there’s 3D, HD, LCD LED and a million different resolutions. So what should you buy?
First of all, you should get a flat screen TV. That much is obvious. Most modern TVs are flat screens and they can all be mounted on the wall using TV brackets. This saves space and allows for a superior viewing experience.
Next, don’t be too swayed by the advice of salesmen. Many will genuinely be trying to get you the best deal and the right product, but if you’re not sure what you’re after yourself, what chance do they have? Take their advice and mull things over. When you’re clearer in your mind, you can make a more informed purchase decision.
Obvious advice really, but set a budget and keep it in mind. You’re obviously not going to spend more than you can afford, but you might get side-tracked looking at high-end TVs and this is a waste of time if you’re not going to buy one. Try and keep focused.
There will be some more TV buying advice in part two of this series.
