It is estimated that glasses-free 3D LCD TVs will be on the market by 2015, according to research carried out in Taiwan.
The Industrial Technology Research Institute carried out the study after displaying a 42-inch version of just such a device. They say that they have made glasses-free 3D TVs up to 65 inches in size.
Understandably, most people don’t want to wear 3D glasses, particularly as better quality pairs can be quite expensive. Technology that negates their usage would help bring 3D into more people’s homes.
When this technology does hit the market, it will be just as important to get a television bracket for your 3D TV set as the experience would be badly affected if your TV was not in the best position.
