This is an understandably popular set. Although an entry level TV, LG has worked hard not to cut corners – it’s well built with an understated style. With 3 HDMIs and a 15,000:1 contrast ratio LG should be commended.
However, it’s 1366 x 768 resolution screen doesn’t hide what it is but ‘Expert Mode’ offers the chance to manipulate it into something better – but only to those that are prepared to roll their sleeves up.
Picture processing has been focused to improve display in two ways – improve the quality of incoming feeds and how that materialises on screen. LG’s clear voice technology easily minimises background noise and the myriad modes mean you can get the full effects of different content’s unique characteristics.
This is a great big budget TV, which lets you mount a good amount of wall space for a very reasonable outlay.
When mounting such a 42 inch screen, it is almost always best to flat mount it if you have the space and a good [42LG3000 wall mount] is the only partner. Flat mounting large screens works well because the [42LG3000 wall mount] allows the screen to become the total feature, much like a painting or framed image. A good [42LG3000 wall mount] is one that is secure like this model here.
