LG launches monster 72-inch 3D-enabled LED TV

Category: News — October 19th, 2010

3D TVs have become a sensational hit around the globe since their launch. No doubt these TVs have a long way to go in terms of offering the ultimate 3D feel, but they are way better than most of the other plasma and LCD TVs in terms of sheer quality and sound. The Korean manufacturer, LG, has introduced the 72-inch 3D enabled LED TV to counteract other 3D LED TVs in the market.

If you are fortunate enough to live in South Korea, you will be able to purchase the gigantic 72LEX9 for 20m WON, or about £11,250 sterling equivalent. This TV offers a 480Hz True-Motion panel along with DLNA compliance for multimedia streaming over a home network, much more than any other TV in its genre. It also boasts 4 HDMI ports, Freeview HD and a wireless AV system.

Like all modern TV sets, the 72LEX9 consists of LG’s NetCast system that allows access to Youtube and other popular video sharing websites.  The 72LEX9 is expected to be launched in the UK by the end of 2010 or early 2011. People are said to be excited about its launch with LG investing in a massive advertising campaign across the UK to promote the 72LEX9.

Only Panasonics TX-P65VT20 plasma and Samsungs UE65C8000 LED TV are capable of competing with the 72LEX9 LED TV at this time.
